When I was finally allocated my allotment all I could do was stare horrified at the task ahead. I have had a quarter plot elsewhere for over a year and this has been easy to manage which is why I caught the growing bug and became greedy for more space. Well I certainly got it!!
Four weeks on and ten pegged out squares later, I have managed to dig over six of the plots, this task involves removing all the grassy weeds and stones in order to rake it over and then perhaps think about crops (which it is already a little late for most things). However I have been doing an hour here and there and finally I am now enjoying it and I have even managed to plant some things.
The next problem is the lack of water and the large amount of rabbits that cannot believe their luck.
